On April 11, the joint press conference of China's textile supply chain chemicals environmental management innovation 2020 action plan was held in Shanghai. 11 dyestuff textile chemical enterprises and 14 textile enterprises jointly launched the industrial autonomy action of China's textile supply chain chemical environmental management innovation 2020, promoting Chinese textile industry chain enterprises to actively participate in the construction of global sustainable supply chain, and demonstrating the active responsibility value of made in China in the global supply chain system.
Zhejiang Longsheng, Runtu Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Yabang, Jiangsu Jinji, Shandong Ruyi and other representatives from 25 dyestuffs, printing and dyeing auxiliaries and Chinese textile enterprises jointly read out the joint statement of the 2020 action plan for environmental management innovation of chemicals in China's textile supply chain. The specific contents include: jointly forming the chemical environmental management committee of the green manufacturing alliance of textile supply chain, based on China's national conditions and industrial status quo, absorbing and learning from international experience of chemical environmental management, before 2020, jointly formulate textile supply chain chemical control guidelines, supply chain restricted substance lists and emission requirements that meet the needs of China's industrial development, and promote standardization construction; Fully support the use of CiE system to carry out compliance information disclosure and supply chain information exchange for chemical production, use and discharge, and build an active trust mechanism for Chinese enterprises in the global supply chain.
According to Ou Qis, chief engineer of Zhejiang Longsheng Dyeing and Chemical Division, the total fiber processing volume of China's textile industry accounts for nearly 60% of the total global fiber processing volume, and exports account for 36% of the international textile trade volume. From the perspective of textile chemicals industry, the production, export and consumption world of China's textile chemicals account for nearly 70% of the global market share. The textile chemicals industry and the textile industry actively cooperate in chemical environmental management, it plays an important role in the sustainable development of the global textile supply chain.
Li Lingshen, vice president of the China Textile Industry Federation, said that as a domestic industrial autonomy action for the environmental management of chemicals, the release of the joint statement will demonstrate the vanguard attitude of Chinese enterprises in green manufacturing and industry self-discipline on the supply side, and even the sustainable development of the global fashion industry. Cao Tingrui, director of the Consumer Goods Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that he will fully support enterprises in applying the CiE system.
Participants said that at present, China's textile industry chain is in the midst of complex industrial changes, and there is an urgent need to further establish and improve the participation mechanism of green supply chain members, carry out industry dialogue, unify cognition, build consensus, and promote Chinese enterprises to effectively participate in the global textile supply chain. The release of this action plan will be of great significance to ensure the sustainable development of China's textile industry.
The event was hosted by the Textile Supply Chain "Green Manufacturing" Industry Innovation Alliance. The alliance expects more companies to join this action, participate in global chemical environmental management and governance, and promote the green development of China's textile chemical industry and textile industry. The action will also actively expand the communication and cooperation between the global and Chinese textile supply chain stakeholders, support the sustainable supply chain management needs of downstream buyers and brands in the supply chain, seek common ground while reserving differences, and develop collaboratively.
